The town of Winfield is currently operating under an outdated Town Marshal system that is not suited to our growing community. Over the past year, the Town Council has initiated plans to transition to a full-time police department. A solid foundation has been established; however, many requirements must still be met to fulfill this promise to the citizens of Winfield.

As a law enforcement professional with 15 years of service in two Lake County communities, I understand the challenges and opportunities that the Winfield Police Department faces. My commitment is to hire the most qualified police officers. We will work to restore trust and confidence within the department and ensure transparency with the community. I will guarantee that our officers receive the best training available and that we prioritize their development, leadership, and dedication to the Town of Winfield. Additionally, I will ensure they are well-compensated and adequately equipped.

The foundation of the new department must be strong. This requires instilling the best values and culture from the very beginning. We must get this right from the outset to ensure the department evolves into one that citizens deserve and that the community can take pride in.

Fire department

The Town of Winfield is currently served by the Lakes of the Four Seasons Fire Department. Although this department is staffed by talented firefighters and EMTs, service gaps have become more evident as the town grows. To address this issue, I am dedicated to establishing the Winfield Fire Department and hiring the best candidates to ensure the safety of Winfield's residents.

I will work closely with Winfield Township and maintain open communication with the Lakes of the Four Seasons Fire Department to facilitate a smooth and cooperative transition. Our top priority will be to recruit a strong Fire Chief who can lead this initiative effectively. I am committed to providing high-quality training, acquiring the best equipment, and offering fair and competitive compensation for our future firefighters and EMTs.
