Parks

Winfield boasts one of the highest percentages of residents under 18 in Lake County, particularly among children under 5. This highlights our community as a fantastic place for families. With parks like Randolph Street Park and smaller community spaces, we are dedicated to providing excellent recreational opportunities.

I am committed to enhancing our parks by building new ones and improving the existing facilities. Together, we can ensure our parks are clean, safe, and inviting, creating vibrant spaces for families to enjoy the outdoors.

Streetscaping & Green Spaces

The most attractive and inviting towns invest in beautiful streetscapes, including trees, planters, benches, lighting, and other landscaping features. These improvements not only enhance safety but also boost the town’s appeal and economic vitality.

I am committed to making beautification a top priority for Winfield. This includes forming working groups, securing grant funding, and allocating resources to implement and maintain projects. By investing in our public spaces, we can create a welcoming environment that residents and visitors alike can enjoy.

EXPANDING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES for PUBLIC works

To support our beautification initiatives, we will hire more public works employees, creating well-paying jobs that uplift our community.

I am dedicated to ensuring that maintenance is part of our financial vision. We must not only invest time and resources in making Winfield a beautiful place to live and work but also commit to sustaining that beauty for generations to come.
